Sure its beautiful but people north GA is covered in places like this. Without being a NAZI about it. I was excited about the prospects of buying here!! Until i reviewed the HOA contract. What a joke and to whomever wrote this, are you from Russia? Do you believe in crushing the rights of purchased land? You must execrate the meaning of FREEDOM by empowering yourself to put these "rules" in play. More like "Talking Rock Dictatorship." Where Commies Move.

I live here. Our amenities (neighborhood pond, 2 outdoor pools, small rec center) are nice, though not fancy, and a good value for the price. Our maintenance crews work hard to keep the roads and water service in shape, and our BOD seems to be improving services and management each year. What I LOVE, though, is the feeling of uncrowded wilderness. I live at the end of a single lane gravel road. I can't see my neighbors, but I can see sunrise and the milky way. The steep hills, curvy roads, and long views make us feel like we're in the mountains. In reality the distances are short and we're fairly close to civilization. So we have the best of 2 worlds.
In response to the person who didn't like our HOA document: I think you would find most covenants, being legal documents, are a bit intimidating. The reality of living here is that we have plenty of space, reasonable building rules, and freedom to live our lifestyle. But... no trailers!
This is a fabulous place to live. We bought land and. Built our cabin. The folks here range from working individuals and many of those who wanted to retire in peace and in a community that is like living in God's Country. Their Board of Directors and Manager are first class. We have about 5,000 acres with 240 +/-homes. If you want quiet seclusion and great amenities come to Talking Rock Creek Resort! We are across from Carter's Lake with many properties overlooking the lake. As you drive you can also enjoy the Lake. We also have a Trout Lodge on the Talking Rock Creek River. This river has tributaries that run through out the properties.!!!! Our property has one!!
