We visited the lake to fish. Very clean, well maintained and comfortable. We will be back every weekend until it's too cold and as soon as the weather warms up, we will be back.
Cabins are outdated, cramped, and not terribly clean. The lake is beautiful and serene, though.
Great place to rent a pontoon boat and explore Carters Lake. If that's not to your liking just stop in for lunch or early dinner burger and fries or other menu items. Good food good prices and great view.

I visited the picnic sites at Carter's Lake. The water fountains didn't work and the bathrooms were all locked on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Not impressed with the facilities but the lake was beautiful.
