Not Liking This At All

Very friendly staff doctors and nurses!! Sometimes there is a long wait period but most the time its BC they are packed with patients...they always answer every question or concerns I may have and do their best with diagnosis and treatment!!

Got rid of all the Dr's and now only have nurse practitioners. Impossible to get a appointment now. Make you wait a few weeks just to get in.

This place has the best Carring staff around. I wouldn't go anywhere else for health care. The doctors really care about you.

Excellent quality of care. They are popular, of course there might be a wait sometimes. If you are in Murray County, they are the ONLY ones you need to see. All of the staff are helpful and professional. As long as I live in this area, they will be my only primary care physicians. I generally see Vickie Chapman because my mom sees her and has been so helpful. She really listens, asks the right questions and makes sure you are comfortable during potentially painful procedures. I've been seeing her for about a year and need to go at least every 3 months or less for different issues. Today I had my first biopsy ever for undetermined skin lesions. I wasn't anxious at all and they talked me through everything. For the Chatsworth area, I have no reason to go to Dalton or Calhoun for quality general health care. In regards to following up on test results, they are prompt and helpful. If you are in a hurry for care, try waiting at the ER. I used to have to use a pain clinic clinic in Calhoun for several years. I hated it. Some days, with 30 people in the waiting room, I was lucky to get in and out within 4 hours and I felt like a cog in a opioid money making machine. So glad I detoxed. They over-medicated me into a narcotic fog for years, but that's another story.

Although Dr. Diaz has the ability to be extremely slow at times, I absolutely love this practice! Since I've been a patient at Gordon Health Depot for years, I've seen Vicki, Dr. Polow, Dr. Diaz and several others many times, not to mention how long I've known them personally throughout my MOA/nursing career. At my last visit, about 2 wks ago, I was informed the practice was going to all NPs and PAs and my primary dr, Dr. Diaz, would be leaving the end of June. My heart broke at the thought of having to go elsewhere! I am familiar with them and vice versa but due to a (non narcotic) medication I take daily which can only be prescribed by a MD, it looks like I don't have a choice. I know the practice, building, and property belongs to Dr. Polow and was told she will be staying but....there will only be 1 day a week that specific meds, mine as well as narcotics, will be given! WHAT?!?! Even the fastest physician can't be that good and shouldn't have to be solely responsible for all those patients. What about the patients who may occasionally need something stronger than an OTC on a day she isn't there? Will they be forced to endure an ER wait to be seen by an overpriced doc who doesn't know anything about them or their medical history? I understand it's cheaper not to employ physicans and don't question the abilities of other providers but is this what our healthcare system is coming to? So as much as I love the office staff, being a patient there, and take comfort in their abilities to treat me or refer me elsewhere if necessary, I have no choice but to find another primary care physician. If you don't have a medical a diagnosis that requires regular visits for maintenance medication, I highly recommend them. Trust me if it wasn't for this issue, I would remain there until God decided it was my time!
